Plate Pack Add-Ons

  • Install additional heat transfer plates as necessary to increase thermal capacity.

New Installations

  • We break down and carry up new plate frame heat exchangers that are too large to carry into a building, and reassemble in the building's mechanical room.

Plate Pack Reconditioning

  • Open the plate pack and remove all plates.
  • Provide crating and shipping to our reconditioning service center.
  • Remove all old gaskets.
  • Chemically clean each plate to remove scale, other deposits, and residual adhesive.
  • Inspect all plates for failure using a dye penetrant test.
  • Apply new gaskets using the appropriate adhesive, including heat-cured epoxy.
  • Provide return shipping of the reconditioned plates and deliver to the mechanical room.
  • Re-install new plates.
  • Close plate pack to the proper dimension and test at system pressure.

Fouled Heat Exchangers

When a heat exchanger becomes fouled, you lose efficiency. For equipment with recent maintenance, the gaskets may be in good condition and reusable. In that case, we’ll open the unit, wash the plates in place, close it according to the manufacturer’s specs, and test for leaks. By doing so, we can potentially save the cost of a new gasket set.

For existing gaskets that have deteriorated and cause leaking after closure, we’ll install a new gasket set or plate pack from your supply.
